Troop transports will bring in much more cash, especially since the Conquerors ability gives the Empire 2500bc whenever they successfully take a planet via invasion. They suffer a penalty to trade income, so don't waste your resources on freighters. They have tough ground troops and resilient mass-produced ships. The Drengin should be played as a military-industrial complex. Unsurprisingly, their major weakness is the Morale of their subjects. Their Slavers ability replaces many core buildings with unique options which are somewhat less effective but cheaper to construct. These maniacal monsters have conquered much of the known galaxy in the campaign storyline and their gameplay matches their brutal expansion perfectly. The undisputed ( yet playable) villains of the Galactic Civilizations universe, the Drengin are militaristic slaving cannibals. ![]()
